Jurisdiction:  Sonora, Mexico

Synopsis:  Los Sueños is envisioned as a new self-contained resort city comprising 10,000 acres on the shores of the Sea of Cortez in the state of Sonora, Mexico. Pangaea provided Urban Planning services for the conceptual land use planning of this self-sustaining community with a varied economic base. Land uses include resort hotels; resort residential consisting of sea villas, golf estates, golf villas, marina villas, and recreational vehicle parks; resort commercial including marina and fishing village-themed retail; support land uses of residential, office, and retail; manufacturing and industrial; cargo transfer and maritime industrial; and motor sports recreational facilities.  Concepts were prepared for the overall land use, a community of resorts with image vignettes, and a conceptual plan for an individual resort.
